NEW YORK CITY - Eha
The luxurious Maybach House Car dropped us off at Rockefella Center, can you see the Hawaiian flag?
The very pretty castle church was right across the street - translation "St. Patrick's" Church.
It's now 1:00pm, 94 degrees and humid again...Brooklyn Bridge here we come. We didn't even reach the bridge yet and we wanted to turn around, the heat was mind boggling! Eventually we got half way and felt the breeze..yipee!
As soon as we got to the Brooklyn side of the bridge we searched for the famous Ice Cream shop to cool us down. Yummy and melting.
Once the ice cream was gone we hoped on the New York water taxi to Pier 17. It was a 3 minute ride nothing like the Expeditions Ferry's 45 minute trip.
We headed back home base got some shut eye and woke up hungry. Aunty Lisa and I had the Pasta of the Day - Seafood Primavera and mom had the Chicken with Mashed Potatos and Green Beans.
The house car took us straight to Broadway to watch MAMA MIA at Winter Garden...loved it! Thanks Aunty Lisa for my early birthday present.
Back to the hotel and ready for more beauty rest...what are we doing tomorrow?

BOSTON NYC - Ekolu

Train seating - Spacious and Chilly!

We're in New York, not sure exactly where but at least we're there after the 4.5 hour trip.
What a way to welcome us to New York City...stepping out to the Subway with horrendous heat and a bunch of stairs to carry all of our luggage up to catch a taxi. It's too hard to smile. Ugh!
Arriving to Four Seasons New York and entering our room for the next 3 days made us smile again. Time to eat at GINGER's thank you Tim for the perfect 1st dinner in NYC.

Look at the Gazebo.
I own the world!!
It looks like the Statue Of Liberty but it's not.
Look at that beautiful big waterfall.
We are entering the Boston Park. It is humongous.
We're in the cemetery called Granary Burying Ground. This is where the Franklin ohana grave is.

Monday, 7/05 - Amish country

Next stop was LEHMAN'S HARDWARE. They had all kinds of stuff in there, including a portable toilet I wanted.

We started getting hungry and went to FARMSTEAD RESTAURANT for a good old-fashioned Amish meal -- roast beef and noodles and fried chicken.

Michael, Luis and his sister Aileen

We drove all over trying to find YODER'S AMISH HOME. We took a tour of how they live. I thought that I would like to live like the Amish until I saw the outhouse and the creepy bedrooms.

I loved visiting the barn -- they had all kinds of animals, even Beagle puppies! The 5-day old bunny scratched my finger so a lady on our tour gave me anti-bacterial gel to use. Aunty ran out of that stuff.

Uncle and I even got a buggy ride!
